plum

The final restaurant in our mini series (for now, that is) is Plum. I'm beyond thrilled to feature this restaurant because it just so happens to be the first place in Oakland we discussed writing up. Look, I know that San Francisco tends to get all the glory when in comes to dining out, and rightfully so. Some of the best restaurants I've had the pleasure of dining at have been just over the bridge, but many places right here in Oakland are just as noteworthy. To compare the dining scene in both cities would be downright ridiculous. Oakland restaurants are not like San Francisco restaurants, nor are they trying to be. There is definitely a more relaxed feel in the East Bay. Some might even consider it leaning toward the gritty side... but the food and the service are NEVER compromised. To read more, go here

  1. here, here. especially PLUM BAR. their "happy meals" (wine/beer/shot and food pairings for $10 - $15) are one of the greatest things ever created. and yes, the music!

Please Note: If you feel the need to write anything hurtful, nasty, unnecessary, or just plain mean, I will not publish it and will have no choice but to feel very sorry for you seeing as you have nothing better to do. Just sayin'...

And to everyone else, thank you.
