Speaking of etsy shops, I have FINALLY been slowly updating mine. I've been trying to work with the intense daylight in our place, and configure my photographs in a different format, so some of the pictures may look wonky/different compared to before. I'm working on getting as much of it uniform looking again. But, YEAH, new stuff (and some markdowns, too)!
You guys are right. A bench is the best idea for our entryway. I was actually going to skip the whole hook idea, seeing as we have an entryway closet... but considering I can only manage to successfully store my bag in it about 25% of the time, methinks hooks with a high shelf is going to be the ultimate winner.
I can't decide if clogs are going to be my go-to Fall shoe, or if I should just stick to my old standby, Minnetonkas.
Remember my search for the perfect jeans? Well, a few weeks ago, I decided I was OVER skinny jeans. They're everywhere. EVERYWHERE. They're on 60 year old women in Oakland, and I just need a serious break from them. So I ordered these, and HOT DAMN, they are fantastic (P.S. They are MUCH darker in person).
From 60 year old women to the massive amounts of grey hairs on my head. It's gotten out of control, guys. I know I said that I look forward to going grey, but I'm a hop, skip, and a jump away from turning 33... not exactly looking to be the first to cross the finish line, if you know what I mean. I'm thinking of changing things up a bit to, maybe, reddish. I'm pretty scared about it. Knowing me, I probably will actually be 60 before I decide.
Cheech's newest word is "no". In true Cheech form, she YELLS it ALL the time.
She's also recently learned "go", and tends to accidentally interchange the two from time to time. Obviously, this can cause great confusion.
There are three new bagel shops in Oakland. Are bagels the new cupcake? OH GOD, I hope so.
My only hesitation with ordering this sweatshirt, is that I'll somehow justify wearing it every single day.
And finally, have you seen this? If you're looking for a photographer, HIRE HER, guys. Not only because she's my friend and I love her to reese's pieces, but because she is insanely talented... as I'm sure you can see. And I'm not the kind to just hand out compliments either.

dude. you read my mind! i'm teetering inbetwixt my 15+ pairs of minnies & the clogs i don't own yet too. and the shoe decision precedes my jeans decision- i'm over skinnies... so imaginary clogs=flares & mocs=boyfriend/boot. i've got to shit or get off the pot soon because in 5 days i'm traveling from the land of 90+ degrees to real.fall.weather.

I'm 26 year old caterer, so I know bunions and back problems come with the territory but I'm trying to keep them at bay for as long as possible. I've got my basic danskos for work, but have been looking for something more fashionable for every day life.
ReplyDeletewhen i cooked, i primarily wore these, and they were AWESOME. i found that they were more comfortable than danskos when i was working crazy long hours. dansko does actually make some cute clogs that if styled correctly, are just as good as a lot of the trendier more expensive brands, imho. i have a pair that's similar to these, and i super big heart them. i've been eyeing these as well.

ReplyDeletei have the worst back. THE WORST. when i'm not having back problems, i can wear any shoe, but when i am, clogs are the ONLY shoe i can wear comfortably. so... i've grown to like them. it did take me time, though.

Besides, it's WAY easier to find petite/short sizes in real pants. :)
I'm really enjoying my Baggu backpack! It's a good size and I enjoy the smaller straps since I already have a heavy duty backpack for longer adventures, etc.
