tahoe bound (with your help)

Hiya there, super rad readers. Joe and I are trying to plan a fun weekend getaway with a couple of friends and their kids to scenic Lake Tahoe. Well, to be fair, I can't actually testify on how scenic it is because I've never actually been. As a native Californian, I should probably be ashamed, but I have been to Disneyland... so there's that.

Anyway, for those of you who've spent some time there, I was wondering if you could help me out with a few lodging recs. Whether it be hotel, condo, cabin, what have you. The husbands will be snowboarding, and the other wife and I will be sipping hot toddies by the fire while we let the toddlers run wild. So, anything that would be conducive to those activities would be perfect.

  2. Have you looked into Airbnb? I'm actually in Tahoe as I type this and I'm staying in this really beautiful listing: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/146928 My friends and I chose this listing because it's relatively short driving distance to several ski/snowboarding places but the house itself is really spacious and has a BEAUTIFUL kitchen which is perfect since we've been making all of our meals. All the listings on the site are different so I'm sure you'll be able to find one that suits your group the best. Also, I work for Airbnb, so if you have any questions, don't hesitate :)

  4. I recommend reading: Strength in what remains by Tracey Kiddler. Great book!
    And concerning the kids... well I actually have no idea. I hope it's a fun and relaxing weekend.
